Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
I knew this shit was gonna happen, after Greg Jackson watched his prize 155 lb bull, Cowboy Cerrone get straight worked by Nate there wasn't a snowball's chance in hell they would come out and any other fight. If Diaz and Condit fight again Condit is gonna get shit stomped and he knows it. Diaz is going to go straight fire and fucking brimstone from the time the contract is signed to the time he's being pulled off of Condit. That's not even shit talking that's fact. I keep hearing all this Diaz crybaby nutthugger, whaaaa whaaa whaaaa nonsense and wonder what those same people would say if Diaz had fought that way and won. Diaz was lured to the fucking cage under the false pretense of "Championship fight" and ended up being the mark of a sanctioned ppv robbery. Diaz won that fight. How the fuck does a man get open hand pimp slapped across his face in the middle a cage fight and back peddle his way into Championship?! |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Imo the fight played out more like a thai boxing/kickboxing vs boxing match than an mma fight. Personally I would of liked to see Diaz mix it up and take it to the ground where he is just so much more diverse than Carlos. Looks like we might see Diaz v Koscheck next. What do you guys think of that matchup? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KRUv3HVnHqk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
In a thai boxing fight if you turn your back on an opponent and run you get DQ'd. When MMA first started there was no rules, no time limits and was just straight up technical match ups of 2 guys bringing there skill sets into a cage and not stopping till one was KO'd or submitted, due to the need to expose the sport to a bigger audience they had to get sanctioned. Getting sanctioned meant time limits and the need for judges to score the bout if it ended with a draw. Having judges score a bout of course meant having certain criteria too go off so we can come to a conclusion of the score... Enter people like Greg Jackson going completely against the whole reason the sport was made and creating a way of winning via avoiding fighting at all and scoring points to take the fight to the judges. People will claim Condit put on a 'beautiful display of MMA and if you can't appreciate it you are a just bleed fan' That's complete and utter horse shit. The whole reason the sport was created was too not stop until one guy was a definite winner. I am a huge fan of technical strikers like Machida who use distance and footwork too there advantage, but he does not avoid the fight all together. Anderson Silva does the same thing and look at his finishing rate. Condit V Diaz II has too happen, Diaz was clearly robbed he won rounds 1, 2 and in round 5 he took Condits back which was the biggest moment of the fight. If you look at the judges score cards Diaz won a round on each of their score cards except 4. That says that the judges are not even in agreement with how the fight went. Diaz clearly won 1 and 2 based on Octagon Control which was the only defining thing in those rounds, 3 and 4 you could give to Condit and 5 was Diaz for taking his back. Nick was robbed, it's a simple fact. Argue it all you want but the only thing that is fair is too have a rematch, we got one for BJ and Shogun, we should have one for Diaz. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
How exactly is GSP ducking Condit? The guys injured, it's not like he can step up and fight him straight away. GSP also said he wanted to fight Diaz unless Diaz lost then he wanted to fight the best, it's pretty obvious no one with half a brain thinks Condit won that fight. Illusion you are one of the biggest fucking morons on here, how can someone who has just gone through an ACL surgery be ducking someone? He would agree to take the fight, but he wants too fight the best, and that isn't Condit. Fuck you annoy me, your self righteous opinions mixed with the fact you know nothing about the sport you claim to love and then completely ignore people who prove you wrong. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
To grindjitsu & Illusion...I love seeing you guys go back and forth! Makes for a good read. I really dont think GSP is ducking anybody. The man is injured and unable to fight anybody atm. GSP doesnt have to prove anything because he's already proved he has what it takes to be a champ and has proved it time and time again because he's still champ with 6 title defences. I will say his last few have been a bit lackluster but thats beside the point.
