Re: Chris Colwell Skydiving Accident
I'm not OP but i've done a few hundred skydives. When jumping with other people you have to be fairly careful not to slam into each other while in freefall. In my own experience, i've jumped with less experienced people that drop out from the group and end up below us. I once got stuck in that air disruption from the low jumper and fell neck first onto their back. Could have easily broken my neck. |

Re: Chris Colwell Skydiving Accident
The student he was instructing (the one you see in the video) started to fall too fast and got below him. Chris went into a dive to reach him, lost track of him, and slammed head-first into his chest. Instant broken neck.

Re: Chris Colwell Skydiving Accident
Thanks, it wasn't clear and had to watch it several times to see... I'm shocked how he became so unstable, due to panic or wrong body position, the erratic movement shown before the collision is very disturbing to see as when I learned to skydive, we have to be aware of every single person and keep our distances ect... but I think this accident has made skydiving safer with what could go wrong with just 2 people (I've seen tangles as well horrible!)
