51 years young Bernard Hopkins gets knocked out of the ring and landed on his head in the eighth round. That's a rough retirement fight.

Joe Smith Jr stopped Bernard Hopkins 53 seconds into the eighth round of their WBC international light heavyweight title fight Saturday night. Smith used a six-punch combination to send Hopkins through the ropes and on to the floor, effectively ending the 51-year-old’s 28-year boxing career.

Agree, fantastic boxer and hate he agreed to fight the youngin. Age, is way more then a number in some sports. Hope the $$$$$$$ was worth it.

Bhop will go down as one of the greats. It's sad to see a legend still fighting so far past his prime, but in Hopkins case, he probably needed to.

I lost all respect for him when he said, "I'll never let a white boy beat me." I'm glad this racist got TKO'd the way he did in his last fight by a white boy. That's some poetic justice shit right there.

Yep, assinine thing to say. I think it was just hype for the crowd but if Calzaghe would of said the opposite, he would of been fined.
