This PDF contains excerpts from technical crew debriefings for all three Skylab crews, dated June 30, 1973, October 4, 1973, and February 22, 1974. The Skylab 2 excerpt records Science Pilot Joesph Kerwin saying the crew saw light flashes, most often when he was in his sleeping sack at night with his eyes closed but awake.

The Skylab 3 excerpts record Science Pilot Owen Garriott describing a bright reddish object seen about a week before splashdown, tracked for 5 or 10 minutes and described as "obviously a satellite in a very similar orbit to our own." He also described a "rather large red star" seen by Jack Lousma out the wardroom window, brighter than Jupiter and with a reddish hue. The Skylab 4 excerpt records Commander Gerald P. Carr saying the crew sometimes saw flashing lights outside Skylab with motion relative to the station, presumed to be other pieces of Skylab or possibly other satellites.
