Joe Roy Metheny reportedly has confessed to killing 10 women in the Baltimore area, and has been indicted in the early 1990's murders of Kimberly Spicer, Toni Lynn Ingrassia, and Catherine Magaziner. Apparently, after spending time with his victims on what appeared to be casual normal terms, Metheny felt compelled to strangle the women. He is currently serving life in prison after having his death penalty sentence in the murder of Magaziner overturned on July 24, 2000.

There's a book called The Serial Killer Whisperer that contains this photo. Damn, it's sick. Teen gets brain damaged and begins correspondence with this clown and others, including Arthur Shawcross. The entire family reads their twisted letters around the table and the kid, now a young man with a girlfriend, thinks of them as his best friends. According to one photo (I'm not quite done with the book yet) they pay some of them a friendly visit in the slammer in person. You thought Natural Born Killers was out there? This shit's real, a tribute to the new American way of "anything goes." |

Oh this guy. He ate his victims also, and served their meat to the public in pork sandwiches that he sold in Baltimore City near where he worked and lived.  |
