This recording is an excerpt of air to ground communications and the NASA Public Affairs audio feed from the Gemini 7 mission. During the segment, Astronaut Frank Borman reports to NASA mission control in Houston that he has sighted an unidentified object, which he called a "bogey."

The sighting occurred on December 5, 1965, in low Earth orbit. Astronaut Jim Lovell, Borman's fellow crew member, is also heard making additional comments.

From the recording, at 2:56:

77 Houston, were these particles in addition to the booster and the, the, uh. Bogey at 10 o'clock high. Hi Roger 7. Go ahead. The booster on my side is a brilliant body in the sun against the black background and with billions of particles around it.
