It also contains field correspondence and interview material from 1941 and 1942, including an interview with Hall's cousin, Private Henry Henderson, about Hall's movements and possible associates. Atlanta reported in August 1942 that the case was being closed, no prosecution was contemplated, and it sought authority to destroy retained exhibits; a January 1943 letter again addressed disposal of rope and wire evidence.
