FBI File on James B. McDougal and Whitewater
This file concerns James B. McDougal, the Arkansas businessman associated with Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan and the Whitewater controversy. A 1961 exchange shows Senator John L. McClellan requesting an FBI name check while McDougal was considered for a Senate committee position; J. Edgar Hoover replied that FBI files contained no pertinent identifiable information.
