He always had child mentailty, from abuse by dad. Couldn't have regular relationship with a female after seeing women throw selves at his brothers on road when he was little. He asked women why did and they were better. It hurt him to see women like that; then after ridicule, he couldn't find right person that he COULD be with that would love HIM and him ALONE.
His childhood friend, that stated had kids with, even stabbed him in back going public they were not MJs biological kids. Hurt him AND KIDS. Who could he trust. Sibling brothers jealous. Dad only wanted meal ticket and beat him as kid if didn't practice 20 hour days!
I wouldn't trust, or want to be around, adults after that. Safer in kids eyes and could be himself. He GAVE from heart! Pics giving presents to sick kids in hospital shows how show he was even then.
THEN, the uncaring A**HOLES did him in, in the end!!!!!

You seem to assume that everyone is sexually attracted to something.

That is not true at all. There are many, many people out there who are asexual and are not sexually attracted to ANYONE, no matter their gender or age range.

Wanting to be a child and be around children does not automatically mean you want to have sex with them.

I actually could buy that he was innocent. Not that I’m a fan or anything, but a lot of these high-end folks in those days were pushed a lot by family to the brink of insanity.
Britney Spears was a clean child actress and suddenly as an adult cut her hair off and tried to play bad.
A lot of the Disney girls wound up with a pile of charges against them for drug abuse and public scenes.
