This FBI anti-racketeering file concerns Vito Anthony Genovese, a New York and New Jersey organized-crime figure. A Newark background report dated December 27, 1957 reviews his personal history, arrest record, denaturalization proceedings, alleged underworld associates, gambling and narcotics matters, and reported business interests. Later Newark reports from 1959 and 1960 track his residence and associates, his reported interest in the Greenwich Furniture Company, and the appeal and custody status following his 1959 narcotics-conspiracy conviction.
