Wow. The level of igornance and stupidity radiated from some of the lowlifes on this thread is just sickening. First, you get the stupid white trash who can't seem to put coherent thoughts together ( or at least make them sound like they are coherent). Then you get the small dick having virgins who make nasty degrading comments that somehow imply that anyone besides a blind, deaf, and mute would go anywhere near your disgusting bodies. If it were my choice, it would be YOU fools getting sent away somewhere without parole. i saw a tv documentary recently on the ci channel about this case, and i think her defense team was poor to say the least! whilst i agree that prison was the only sentance that should of been handed out...but for it to be life without parole at 16 yrs old, that was a harsh sentance (imo) amanda duggan who was also 16/17 did a similar crime with her boyfriend (mother and father murdered) she got 45 yrs, him 100 yrs plus. wheres the parity in the us justice system? different state laws? for similar juvenile crimes? |

I don't feel sorry for her. She was very involved in the murder of her own father. I am against LWOP for juvenile offenders, but she certainly deserves a lengthy sentence. I think she probably could have had a better lawyer. They didn't even give an opening statement? She seems to separate herself from the crime by saying she isn't now who she was then. She is still the same person who committed the crime. If she were to get her sentence changed and go before a parole board, they will want to hear her admit to her part in the crime with no excuses.
