This footage, submitted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, was recorded by an eyewitness on an iPhone 14 Pro Max in the northeastern United States in July 2025. The eyewitness reported an intense bright light hovering in a backyard, and the spouse described it as a "brilliant red sphere" with a white plasma-like center.

The witnesses later reported seeing a second, identical orb above the first, with both moving westward together above a nearby tree line before going out of sight. The FBI says the description comes from eyewitness statements provided to the bureau, and that it assesses the reporting individuals as credible.
