Airborne Triangle Over Bagram Air Force Base, June 2002
An FBI FD-302 records a March 2024 interview with a former U.S. military pilot who recalled an incident above Bagram Air Force Base, Afghanistan, in June 2002, while deployed as a military reservist. The FD-302 and an FBI digital rendering based on the observer's description are attached. The Federal Bureau of Investigation prepared the rendering in 2026 as a visual aid for the PURSUE initiative, and the file is redacted. The record treats the incident as potentially involving unidentified anomalous phenomena and does not identify the object. Declassified by the Department of War under the PURSUE UAP records release (tranche of 8/7/26). Agency: FBI Document ID: FBI-UAP-D024-set
