1950 CIA Report from Chile on German Flying Disc Theory
This PDF is a 1950 CIA Information Report from Chile about a German scientist's article on "Flying Discs." The article theorized that the discs could be a new type of aircraft based on aerodynamic principles developed in German research facilities during and after WWI. According to the report description, the proposed design used rotating cylinders or gas-turbines to create lift through boundary layer manipulation, rather than conventional wings.
