The photos are both captioned: Photo#1 (16 may 1959) shows the body of a man that was recovered from Merrimakc River in Haverhill, Massachusetts; the body was wrapped with chains. Both cause of death and identity of the man were unknown when the photo was taken. Photo#2 (8 June 1919) was taken in France and reads: The photo was taken by Harry Harris, AP |

The second pic is from 1944, not 1919. The tracked vehicle upside down is a KKK (Keinen Ketten Krad). They were pretty cool, though. Half tank/ half motor cycle.
