World War 1 - Disfigured, Scarred, Broken.
What you're about to see is the contents of 2 albums created by those working at King George Military Hospital during the first world war. Big thanks to wellcomelibrary.org for preserving and uploading the albums. The original albums that contain much higher resolution images along with more information about what you're seeing are available here: First Album, Second Album. From the first album: |

Did someone's porn get lost (random pic of women's naked torso... )Great find. Very sad but the foundations of plastic surgery we know today. |

Re: World War 1 - Disfigured, Scarred, Broken.
How do you duck when you've been ordered over the top into no-man's land and you're facing shrapnel rounds? That shit's like an improved version of the canister rounds used in the US Civil War. Think of it as being like "Satan's Shotgun". Just try and duck as you have multiple field guns launching that shit at you as you charge their lines. |
