Thanks! Many German solders on the Eastern front had to wear captured Russian uniforms and hats due to the fact that no winter uniforms were sent to them. Hitler thought they'd be done by end of autumn.

 Captured uniforms also helped them to blend in, alot of russian soldiers got caught off-guard in firefights cause they thought the germans were with them at first. Good post & great find! |
