Her name was Tania Chekov and she was a female Russian sniper under the tutelage of the Soviet Hero Vasily Zaitsev. Usually Russian snipers were never taken prisoner but Tania was because she played dare and lost. She decided to remain in her position even though the first creed of a true sniper is to move positions after taking a shot. Even if you miss.
