Talking about basic issue shit for brains. Helmets worn by American soldiers and Marines during the Vietnam conflict were of camouflaged cloth. It was unauthorized to wear anything else.

If he did I bet he knew next to fuck all unless he was a commander. The beauty of the system they used was that very few knew what they where doing right then let alone tomorrow and they didn't care less all they worried about was food and keeping out of the way of the wrath of their disciplinary corp who where more vicious with them than they where with any captured prisoners as a prisoner had some worth whereas an illiterate peasant farmer was all to easily replaced. |

Even if this is a US soldier, and though this photo looks cruel, who knows what is actually going on. For all we know, the skinny guy is some poor bastard caught in the middle of war. Or he could have been someone who was raping innocent children and got caught by our troops.
