Are those first two pic's of a dust off flight by chance?
Guy's there were a lot of young men who got to live to be old men because of the dust off or medavac pilots and there crews.
Those crews were amazing they would fly right into the shit taking fire all the way in, let the skids touch ground just long enough to get our wounded on board and they were out of there.
They got our people to batalion aide or mash units fast enough that many who would have otherwise died right there in the jungle got the medical care which in many cases saved there lives.
Those pilots and crews who flow dust off were then , still are ,and always will be the heroes of many who served over there.
