University of California Rabies Vignette

With that soundtrack I half expected the patient to reanimate.

Creepy, yet informative & the music was most appropriate. Are they treating him or studying him?

Re: University of California Rabies Vignette

I believe that once the patient exhibits the symptoms of rabies it's already too late. That's why when humans get attacked by an animal that is even suspected of having rabies they are treated.

The incident in Iran occurred in 1954. It was a hot night and many people were sleeping outside, rather than inside the sweltering buildings. As they slept, the rabid wolf attacked, biting them in their sleep. Many were bitten on the head.

Iranian wolves aren't as friendly as Australian wolves.

He died. Once you develop rabies, you're a dead man/woman walking.

Re: University of California Rabies Vignette

Whilst in Bosnia in certainareas we shot all free roaming canines on sight. A few where unhappy about this until we where all made to attend the small side room used solely for those waiting to die from rabies after being bitten by former family pets that had been abandoned and roamed in bloody packs often digging at the shallow graves of the local murdered and hastily buried victims of the sick fucking militias that roamed the countryside.

Re: University of California Rabies Vignette

Rabies is a terrible way to die from what ive seen. Theres just something about the eyes and mannerism of an infected. Scary!
