It’s all fake made up crap. Padre Pio burned his hands with carbolic acid that he used to sterilize medical equipment. The pharmacist he got it from testified that he asked for large quantities of it and wanted it to be given to him secretly so nobody knew. The marks on his hands are definitely carbolic acid burns. The other ones did their own sneaky self harm to fool people or had medical issues that were not widely known at the time. “Saints” are not real, they are dead people who spend their lives pushing Catholic beliefs, if they didn’t have saints they wouldn’t be able to make money off all the tourism and trinkets. It’s a huge grift… the idea that dead people can somehow hear your prayers lol. Some people love a comforting lie over a harsh truth.  |
