The writing is on the back of the photo and it reads:

"Here lies our dearest Dad, so thin, so cruelly worn out by his illness. And he was 95 kg before he got ill.

Standing by the casket, from left: my daughter-in-law who is Staśka [diminutive of "Stanislawa", feminine form of "Stanisław"] Szulc's daughter, and her husband Stach [variation of "Stanisław". Looks like this name was very popular in the family]. Next to my son is [my?] third son Henryk Jarema and the two youngest ones, Antek and Tadeusz.

March 19, 1952."
