Soldiers Frozen to Death in STALINGRAD
Without ammo, food, or adequate clothing thousands of German soldiers froze to death at Stalingrad. There was a brief time when the 6th army could have broke out of Stalingrad and linked up with another army but Hitler forbade retreat. This battle was a major turning point as Hitler lost 250,00 soldiers here. Only 5 thousand ever made it back to Germany after the war with most dying of exposure, starvation, and typhus in the Russian POW camps. This photo was taken in 1943.

Re: Soldiers Frozen to Death in STALINGRAD
Wow. I'm so glad I live in a time of enlightenment where ppl don't just go for the okie doke and fight a war. And this is a real war right here. Two equally matched opponents unleashing hell on each other. This pic says 10,000 words
