Very sad and interesting subject. Just watched couple more videos via the related links in your post. Although I laughed at their movements, it was a devastating and debilitating condition for those poor men. It was good to see they recovered with treatment. I learned that some men in the trenches who couldn't deal with the doings of war and were incapable and damaged by it were shot. They were then pardoned afterwards. Very sad |

There was a shop teacher at my high school that was a veteran and he was shell shocked. I was told a horrible story about him by my stepdad. Apparently, some of the kids found out and decided to torture him. They would bring the biggest textbooks they had to class and while the room was quiet and he was distracted they would drop them. Dropped as flat on the floor as possible it would create quite a loud pop. The teacher would duck under his desk and cower in fear and the asshole students thought it was funny. |
