Look at the third from last picture, that's so atmospheric and creepy, now imagine the same picture in colour, I would have scrolled straight past, it would just be another picture. Thanks Kel, outstanding as always. |

Series of photo's that tell a story is called continuity. Each artist has a unique aspect of continuity. Black and white photography is an art. Just as filtered color is an art and a skill. I've used Queen Graphic 4" x 5" camera's, with filters and it is amazing how you can make things look. Slight reds "rose" make the sky and clouds much more contrasted than with out. Polarizing brings glare to minimum allowing better vision through glass and water. Glare filters, infrared film. ASA, F stops. All is used in black and white. What I'm saying is B&W "older B&W's will never be equalled except by the finest photographers today. Not by the masses cell phones. That's why many on this site have a high appreciation for B&W. wolfie |
