I saw this on the NET, too, and the caption does say he was struck by lightning. But I don't think so. I can't imagine someone could've survived a jolt of electricity that did that much damage. Looks more like he was burned. Must've hurt like hell.

This is an odd picture. The leg looks burned but I see no other damage in the room. Lightning usually is easy to see the path to ground.
