Re: Said To Bed Spontaneous Human Combustion
I really do wonder what happen's too these people if it's not human combustion, one gal had burnt up in a matter of 20min.,her daughter had run down the street to the corner store for cigarette's,and by the time she returned her Mother was completely burnt up!!and there was an afghan blanket unharmed not a foot away from what was left of the body!!They also had a woman who said she has survived because she saw her thigh start too smoke and her husband put the fire out and when she went to the hospital her worst injury was internal, her thigh skin wasn't badly burnt on the outside, only on the inside!!! Crazy shit!!! |

Re: Said To Bed Spontaneous Human Combustion
The phenomenon is still unclear at all, far from being fully explained. Yes, it's true that a body made mostly of water wouldn't burn spontaneously that way, but there are more factors to consider: for example, intestine contain methane, and more in general, our bodies do contain flammable gases: what you'd need is some external source igniting them, and THIS is the step difficult to explain, because all we have so far are theories. For example, there are recent very interesting findings on Mitochondrial thermogenesis, (one would be very surprised once he/she has learned the most recent findings, expecially on oxidative phosphorylation) which possible results are basically UNKNOWN: we could allow it as some possible concurring cause, (of course we cannot rule it out, but lemme point out that this falls into the "psychosomatic" chain effect basket) . But this would explain some sudden increase of temperature gone off hand of the body, not the start of flames (but just take some fever, then multiply it by some X factor and let me know which should be the result, regardless you are made of water or not). Another point is to know whether the victim was naked or wearing anything at the moment of the incident, and if yes, what: the difference between the two scenarios is HUGE. Try to walk being naked on some moquette, then measure the voltage that you have built up (in terms of static electricity). Then, try to do the same while wearing something made of cotton, for example, and let me know what voltage you have charged. Let's say that you have stored some thousands Volts, try it at home if you don't believe me. Five times more than the electricity that makes work your TV, to say the very least. And do you know what happens to some body which has charged that amount of static electricity (even if its actual energy is very low?). I don't, scientists don't, no one knows. Every case needs some proper investigation, and of course all the reported ones can't be dismissed as fire caused by cigarettes: when Polonus Vorstius passed away, Marlboro's were yet far from being invented.

It's all sooooo...interesting! Such a great phenomena, I would love to watch a documentary on it

Re: Said To Bed Spontaneous Human Combustion
What about that one old lady (leg anyway XD) in the bathroom with the fucking walker?? The floor is burned, the walker is tipped over & her leg is just laying there untouched!! It's like she just fell over and exploded. Or vice versa. HA HA wtf? And YES why ARE they all old ladies ?? or ladies anyway, mostly old. I have read a theory on these unexplained burnings, that caused by a cigarette or something & that the fat in the body, which burns hot and quickly is what burns everything up. I dont know man. |
