I found these in an old HDD.

I don't have enough info, there's a short text explaining that he was the victim of a civilian law enforcement/retaliation group in Greece after WW II ended. The group arrested several people who had been helping invading German forces during the war. The victims were put on trial in public courts (Nigeria style). Those found guilty were tortured and executed.

The man in this photo was a Superintendent at a police station in Athens who had ordered his officers to fire towards unarmed civilians during a protest.

According to the info in the photo he was beaten, blinded with hot nails, his nose and tongue were cut off, his heart ripped out, his genitals were cut in pieces and his throat was cut with a can.

Overkill.

Maybe they cut off his genitals first and then he begged them for the rest?

When I was a kid I met a woman from Greece that had been part of a group of people that were machine gunned by the Germans under suspicion of being part of The Resistance (which she was ) in an impromptu summary execution action.

Though badly wounded she survived along with at least one other badly wounded survivor...who became her husband and year or so after.

They went on to have, I think, a couple of kids and were married 30+ years when I met her.
