You know, that's always the first thing that springs to mind whenever I see someone with no arms/hands. I saw a huge guy walking down the streets of whore-town near where I live, and from a distance he looked like a big swaggering football player, but as he got closer I realised he had two mechanical arms poking out the sleeves of his football shirt. I was sat in a bar as he walked past, and he looked a little sad, a little lost, but selfishly I didn't speak, as I was worried he might want to drink with me, then he might want to go for a piss..... you see where this is going?...  I'm not man enough to take another guys junk for a piss.  |

My maternal grandmother had her right leg amputated as a teenager. She only had 3 bones form in the leg due to a genetic birth defect. Later in life she had some bitchin’ prosthetics with spring to them and actual shaped toes. Unfortunately, her old ones were bullshit. Where her stump went in, it laced up like a friggin pair of Nikes and was, swear to god, whittled out of wood. She took it like a champ. She never used her disabled placard, EXCEPT Magic Kingdom (we’re in Florida and I took her and my parents on the 4th of July in 1997….I had just graduated high school and had my first medical intern job….they had never been and we had a blast). Anyways, parking was already full because of the holiday, so she pretty much said, welp, here ya’ go and stuck that bitch on the rear view. Sweet divinity and parking up front!!!! That woman was a hoot and I miss her.
