It's possible that another family identified Eleanor as their child, so this child might be that family's actual child. Sad all around.

I don't believe Little Miss is Eleanor Cook, either. If her mom denied it until her dying day, along with the other discrepancies, seems it would be apparent IT AIN'T HER. Fun fact: The clown carrying the bucket is 'Weary Willy' ska Emmet Kelly, who was quite famous back in the day. The day of the fire he helped evacuate audience members, then worked to put the fire out. It was one of the very few times he was seen crying whilst in costume, & his grandson later recalled he never spoke of the fire outside of the family. |

LOL Yeah, I can see how anyone could make that mistake. They didn't really have high resolution back then, so sometimes the details get lost.
