The photo was circulated around the town first, then the country. All adults who died in the fire and their kin were accounted for. That's what makes Little Miss 1565's story so compelling...and kind of creepy. They call her "Little Miss Nobody". I've written several essays and poems on the subject. I first read about her in an old Stephen King nonfiction book called "Dance Macabre" in which he speculates (in typical King fashion) on the various darker possibilities as to why she was there and why no one ever came forward to claim her.
