That's the shitty part about being a paratrooper. For 10 to 20 seconds you are a floating target with no protection.

This is a paratrooper from the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 17th Airborne Division, 3 miles northwest of Wesel, in the Diersfordter Forest: Operation Varsity. It was the last full-scale airborne drop of WWII. Wesel was obliterated.
