I'm sure that it was a common scene at that time. There's plenty of evidence that the SS and other groups were allowed to execute prisoners at their own discretion. Germans had all that in documents because (believe it or not) everything they did was legal (meaning allowed or required by law). Hitler's government was democratically elected by a majority that I don't think other western countries have ever seen. Something to think about kids. Legal and good are not synonyms. However, I don't think that faking a picture is the best way to raise awareness. It's obviously fake, the alleged Jewish woman was pasted. The illumination is inconsistent with the rest. With the poor quality of the original picture, it's easy to conceal the edition but adjusting the light is a lot more difficult. |
