Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)

I agree with the fact that it did indeed save countless American lives (several in my family fought and died in both theaters of battle for America), which makes me support it, but the 246,000 people (the majority of which were civilians) that were destroyed between the two detonations, and the countless number that continue to be born as still-births, and die from lymphatic cancers that are due to the events of that day make me oppose the decision.

But heinsight is always 20/20 so I don't lose much sleep over it.
You're absolutely right. It was a terrible thing but the alternative was a military invasion of Japan with estimated losses on both sides of over 1 million. The higher ups in the Japanese Army that were really controlling the country at the time hung on to the bitter end to save face - and as someone said, they were warned that the bomb existed but doubted it would really be used. Calling our bluff, as it were, turned out to be a tragic decision on their part - but as you said, the number of lives SAVED makes it kinda hard to argue with the decision.

I just pray now that the people of the world learn from this and no one else ever has to see it again.

If you don't know what you're talking about, just STFU. You have no clue about what really happened, or the process involved in the decision. Your "America bashing" is lame and rediculous.
how is it? America always sticks it's nose in where it's not wanted. and they have killed more innocent people than any terrorist organization

Their role in 'peacekeeping' efforts and occupying third-world countries.
that doesn't make them a super power by any means.

Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)

Was the weakest move in history, instead of facing defeat by Japan America dropped chemical bombs over civilian areas to damage the imperial army.

COWARDS
what a dumbass you are! They attacked us you nimrod. And we were not about to be defeated, were the fuck do you get your facts? They only made it to Alaska, and were beat there. They were the first suicide bombers. Do you know what Japan was like before the war? Look at it now. It was tragic but maybe they should of left us alone. We do not need to remember, we remember Pearl Harbor! Let our enemies remember. You just hate USA punk, Japan did it to themselves. They were told of our weapon before we dropped it, they chose not to surrender. And even after the first one was dropped they were given the chance to surrender again and didn't. You run your mouth like a child, You would be living in a very different world if USA was not here. And your a major brainless twit if you think that would of been good for Europe or the world. But you are a Jew hater, so that shows your mentality, useless!

seriously are you being serious? your telling me that none of the american soldiers died from that bomb? look ive nothing against america itself, but i do hate the fact of the army and it's ways of going on, and you were all losing that war, it took a few years for you to even know they were hiding underground, your were all sent to a slaughter, that bomb saved you but for the price of all those innocent people. but what comes around goes around i guess.

Re: May We Never Forget Hiroshima (B&W)

Seriously, what's all this "you" and "us" bullshit. It's the same with football. "We kicked your ass last night". No you didn't. The football team you support kicked the ball into the goal, and they won. Not you.

Why is it that people get all het-up over whether or not "they" caused more casualties during a conflict that happened over FIFTY YEARS AGO, which, by the way, NONE OF YOU HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH (so get over yourselves) than "our" side did.

C'mon fellas. Wind your necks in, and come to terms with the fact that "you" had fuck all to do with this. Your Governments did. And they're all dead.

So fuck you.
