My Grand Father's best friend was a lumber jack back in the 1950's. He had to cut his own leg off with a wood boring chisel after a falling tree crushed and pinned his leg against the trunk of another tree that had already been cut down. Although the bone was already shattered, he had to sever all the muscles in his thigh, fiber by fiber. Just like this Doctor, he was a serious bad ass.  |
