Inejiro Asanuma: Japanese Assassination by Sword
Inejiro Asanuma was a Japanese politician and leader of the Japan Socialist Party. He was assassinated on October 12, 1960, during a televised political debate in Tokyo. The assassination was carried out by Otoya Yamaguchi, a 17-year-old nationalist and member of the right-wing group, the Great Japan Patriotic Party.
