Hospital Pics
An image of a doctor and his office. The birthing table and the birthing tools in the image indicate that the doctor specialized in delivering babies. The image dates to about 1900. The doctors diploma is on the wall. His medical books are in the bookcase. Photograph of an operating room at Columbia Hospital, circa 1910. Notice the street shoes and the dirty telephone phonebook hanging by the door Early medical photograph showing some type of a procedure. The latest in operating room pictures from about 1940 or so. A very large artificial leg made for a Louisiana farmer. The farmer was 7 1/2 feet tall and weighed 267 pounds. The photo was taken in 1937. A distant cousin of mine lost a leg or part of a leg in a war and he was very tall, but, the leg wasn't fit right and he always limped. I was a little kid and I thought he and his brother were giants.
