Oh poor thing. I remember reading the Little House books as a child, they were set about 100 miles from where I'm at now, (but in the 1800's) and their cattle would freeze to death standing up too. I believe it. Now I've seen it.

 Man that's odd, it doesn't even look like his legs are in a good position to support his body at all let alone to freeze that way.
