Cheap fucking equivocation. You do not, you CAN NOT, allow for 'circumstance' when it comes to surrendered prisoners of war. Far too easy to rationalize MURDER away and call it 'duty.' Why should these prisoners get special treatment over what happened to them? What about the millions and millions of Germans murdered and rapped by the soviets and the millions of Germans who starved to death during the Great Depression while certain groups thrived. What about the people tortured in Iraq by saddam but also by the US government. These prisoners should be held to the same standards as anyone else.
