Re: The Children of Jefferson Davis
This is one of the reasons why in my opinion anti-vaxxers can go die in a fire. Infant/child mortality even in the developed world used to be shockingly high. Thanks to vaccination, deaths from diseases like measles or diptheria are highly preventable now. If this lovely family had been alive today, with vaccination at least two of their children would not have died so young. But a lot of these diseases are making a comeback thanks to the anti-vacc dipshits. http://www.forbes.com/sites/stevensa...c-in-70-years/ |

I work at a pharmacy, I've heard it all. Never ceases to amaze me what people will believe. I kinda wish sometimes that anti-vaccination people will get shingles later in life. That shit is NOT pretty.

Re: The Children of Jefferson Davis
I've done quite a bit of genealogy, and looking at the realities that a parent would face trying to raise children in those days... I recall one set of grandparents (x4 or 5 generations) that had 10 children, and only two survived childhood. I can't imagine how shitty and miserable life would be if one of my children died, but most? All? Fuck.
