Polish prisoner with his crutch beside him, after he was killed with a flame-thrower by the Nazis during his attempted escape through a barbed-wire fence  Remains of prisoners who were trapped in a building and burned alive  More who suffered the same fate |

Yeah, they're really disturbing. What a vicious way to be murdered  A lot of the Nazis were in a very "do or die" situation. Think I'd rather be shot than carry out orders that were nothing more than utter brutality. |

I find it a little odd that that one prisoner was allowed to keep his spec's and given a crutch to use.
