Brain Surgery Pictures From The 1900's
Read an article on brain surgery in the early 1900's, some really good pictures too. These are photographs of patients cared for by Dr Harvey Cushing between 1900-1930s - taken for diagnostic purposes as part of the Cushing Tumor Registry. Very interesting! We've come a long way based on this... "Patients were photographed in this way because doctors at the time believed hands could help determine health. They believed that many internal disorders and diseases would reveal themselves externally"   ·  · |
