The Bodies of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and His Wife Duchess Sophie
The bodies of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife, Duchess Sophie of Hohenberg, lying in open metal coffins. This photograph was probably taken immediately after the embalming and laying-out

Wow! Amazing historical record. If only they'd known the huge effect their deaths would have.

I remember reading the Archduke's last words before he died "Sophie please don't die. Live, live for our children!"

Re: The Bodies of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and His Wife Duchess Sophie
I saw Franz Ferdinand uniform and the pants that he wear that fatal day in the National Museum in Vienna You can see it's still bloody still today |
