I remember this. From what I read, he was a gay who went with rich older men and wanted to live a rich lifestyle. Once he became older and the rich older men lost interest in him, he didn't have the means to maintain the lifestyle and that drove him nuts. Gianni Versace blew him off (figuratively speaking) and that was why he killed him.

I realize the decade old dates on the thread but I'm almost certain the second pic is Jeff Trail. He was even mistaken for Cunanan when they first discovered the body. Similar build, hairstyle of Cunanans longer hair, damage to head and neck with a hammer.

I wonder what Jeff Trail's story was. Willing accomplice? Reluctant hostage? Whatever it was, Andrew Cunanan felt he had to go. The answer to these questions died with them  |
