AMAZING Vintage Embalming/Mortuary Images

Think the youngest image here is from the 1940s (group-shot embalming ones) then they date backwards to who-knows-when. One does have Victorian light fittings.

Look at the picture where they're holding a gutted-out body by it's arms & legs

The embalmed dog looks just like he's asleep, brilliant job.

I LOVE these type of pictures

Re: AMAZING Vintage Embalming/Mortuary Images

Great pics!!! Some are kinda funny. The one where the embalmer is holding the body's hand, and the guy at the head is stroking it's head. It's like " there, there... it will be OK" The one with the emblamer with the pipe looks like he's about to say "elementary my dear Watson"

Spiffy! I like the chap with pipe. He is looking quite dapper.

Re: AMAZING Vintage Embalming/Mortuary Images

Oh, sorry for the double post. . . but had to point out a few points. The guy holding up the leg looks like quite the creeper. He is really enjoying that leg. Second point, they are giving that one guy the birthday bumps Happy b-day buddy I guess they could be about to throw the poor fellow. . .

Yeah. I'm sure they embalmed Lincoln outside of a tent on two barrels and a door.
