That does to be Morticians Wax that was used to make repairs to facial damage. The surrounding and underlying flesh, has dehydrated and shrunk up and has pulled away from the wax. It is also possible that it is a rebuilding type of clay that could have been used at that time period in the mortuary biz. She is still in great condition for a 29yr exhumation.
