They were called "sleeping beauties" which is where Disney got the name from. The children are tragically sad. The one of the whole family...they were murdered. Thank you for the post. |

These pictures were taken because in all likelihood, the family did not have any pictures of the person living. Getting your picture taken was relatively expensive and required going to a studio or the cumbersome task of bring the studio to you per say. It wasn't like going to the Picture People. I can understand why they did it. If I didn't have any pictures of my children, I would go out of my way to get a pic of them before they started to decay. |
