WWII Bomb Successfully Removed in Białystok (polish City)
Ten thousand people were evacuated in the Białystok area of eastern Poland as a recently-found unexploded WWII bomb was removed today.
An area with a radius of 1,400 m from the bomb was completely evacuated and closed off.
Inhabitants living in the danger zone were evacuated to specially designated areas set up by the Białystok authorities.
Main city streets were closed, with police redirecting traffic.
The removal was planned for 12-4pm and was completed successfully before 2 pm. The bomb was transported to a military range 130 km away.
