Re: World's Oldest Woman Dies At 116
She doesn't necessarily look that out of it to me. She looks more like she's kinda beyond the nonsense of this side. At that age, she may already have the majority of her consciousness on the other side knowing that her body will soon fall away. |

Re: World's Oldest Woman Dies At 116
My dad died at 77 in 2008 in a horrid place my brother put him so he could go party. He had dementia and Parkinson's and was a shell of the man he used to be. Two weeks before that, my dad was sitting up eating like a pig. He wanted to wash his hands so I told him to lean on me and we walked to the kitchen. Killed my back, but, it made him happy. My brother was mean! He died in a fire the following year. Karma? My mother is now 77 and she fell yesterday. I cannot lift her by myself. She fell a couple of weeks ago outside a grocery store while I backed up my car to park. Thank goodness, a man helped her up. She has cataracts so I don't know what she sees, but, she refuses to wear her glasses outside or use a cane or walker. I tried to tell her when people see devices for assistance, most tend to move and hold doors for you, but, she's stubborn! Like a big child! She takes care of herself and cooks sometimes, but, when I look at her, I don't ever want to be like that. She had a stroke in 2004 and lost her driving privileges, which she should have. She lost peripheral vision on her right side. The stroke was on the left. She gets confused alot. It's amazing her long term memory is great, but, the short term, not so much! I have no number in mind, but, when I can't shower myself, I'd done! I give people who take care of elderly people all the credit in the world. I don't think I could do it. I cleaned her off when she had the stroke and dressed her, but, I'm not strong anymore either to lift her alone. · |
